And I Think of You

(Quick intro: So as many of you will know I have began to dabble in writing poetry, mostly terribly sad and unfinished, here is hopefully my first finalised piece. I have taken on commentary ((mainly from my mum)) and decided to lengthen one of my earlier pieces)

I have the sun on my skin
And the wind in my hair.

When I close my eyes,
I can feel my heartbeat.
And I think of you.

I have the rain on my skin
And a gale in my hair.

When I close my eyes,
I can feel the tightness in my chest.
And I think of you.

I have the lightning on my skin
And thunder in my hair.

When I close my eyes,
I can feel the anger in my stomach.
And I think of you.

I have the sea on my skin
And salt in my hair.

When I close my eyes,
I am finally at peace.
And I no longer think of you.
